Shareef J. Phillips (he/him/they) is a proud military brat of two esteemed army majors. He was born in Ft. Wainwright, Alaska, but raised in Washington DC, by way of Atlanta, GA.

Shareef is an esteemed alum of the Morehouse College’17 in Atlanta, GA, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Cinema, Television, and Emerging Media Studies, and went on to achieve a Master of Arts in Creative Writing at Loyola Marymount University’20 in Los Angeles, California. He is currently in pursuit of a Ph. D at Georgia State University in Communication Studies with a concentration of Moving Images Studies.

Shareef has worked with industry professionals in production coordination, creative direction, and project management. Shareef has a passion for shaking up creative spaces and finding new and/innovative ways to streamline production processes. In his free time, he loves creative writing.
